Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This privacy policy explains how FreeAI.tools ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit and use our website at freeai.tools. We've written this to be straightforward and readable, not buried in legal jargon.

What data we collect

FreeAI.tools does not collect or store any personal information on our servers. We don't have user accounts, email sign-up forms, or login systems. When you use features like saving tools, tracking recently viewed items, searching, or building a comparison tray, all of that data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device and we never see it.

Specifically, we may store the following in your browser's localStorage:

Saved tools. If you bookmark or save a tool using the save button on a tool card, that list of saved tool IDs is kept in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data will remove this.

Recently viewed tools. We keep a short list of the tool pages you've visited recently so you can find them again easily. This list stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere.

Search history. Your recent search queries may be saved locally to make searching faster and more convenient. Again, this is browser-only storage.

Comparison tray. When you add tools to the comparison tray, those selections are stored in localStorage so they persist if you navigate between pages. This data is cleared when you close the comparison or remove tools from the tray.

None of the above is tied to your identity. We have no way to connect any of it to you as a person.

Cookies

FreeAI.tools uses browser localStorage rather than server-set cookies for all site functionality described above. We do not set first-party cookies ourselves. However, third-party services we use (described below) may set their own cookies in your browser. You can manage or block cookies at any time through your browser settings.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This includes information like which pages are most visited, how long people spend on the site, what country visitors come from, and what devices and browsers they use. This data is aggregated and anonymous. Google Analytics does not give us access to personally identifiable information unless you've provided it to Google separately.

Google Analytics uses cookies to track sessions and page views. If you'd prefer not to be tracked, you can use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.

Google AdSense

FreeAI.tools displays advertising through Google AdSense. AdSense may show personalized ads based on your browsing history and interests, using cookies and other tracking technologies that Google manages. We do not control which ads are shown or what data Google uses to personalize them.

If you'd like to opt out of personalized advertising, you can do so through Google's Ad Settings. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly at aboutads.info.

How we use information

The analytics data we receive through Google Analytics is used solely to understand how the site is being used and to improve the experience. We look at things like which categories are most popular, which search terms come up most often, and where users drop off. This helps us decide what to update, add, or improve.

We do not sell, rent, or share any information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. The only third parties who receive any data are Google Analytics (for anonymous usage data) and Google AdSense (for ad serving), and both are governed by Google's own privacy policies.

External links

FreeAI.tools links out to third-party AI tools and external websites. Once you click one of those links, you're on their site and subject to their privacy policies. We have no control over how those sites handle your data and are not responsible for their practices.

Children's privacy

FreeAI.tools is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our site (for example via the tool submission form), please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back occasionally if you want to stay informed. Continued use of the site after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
